Once you have made the decision that you would like to Stop Renting and Buy Your Own Home, we will put you in contact with one of our Lender Partners who will Pre-Qualify you. This step is very important. Until you are pre-qualified, there is no way to know what price home you can afford.
Also, pre-qualification is essential when submitting an offer on the home of your choice - it tells the Seller that you can afford the home, you have already started the loan process and that you are a Real Buyer. This adds weight to their consideration of your offer & can often make the difference if more than one offer is submitted at the same time.
Pre-qualification will tell you approximately how much your monthly mortgage payments will be. We will take that number and add how much you will pay in taxes and insurance in order to get your Total Monthly Payment for your new home. Often, this amount is similar to what you are already paying in rent.
What you may not know is that home ownership gives you some additional benefits with respect to tax deductions, so ultimately you may end up paying LESS each month in the long run. Plus, you will be building equity in your home - it's like saving for your future!
